The composition of the photo has lines from the vinyl siding on the side of the house there is also lines coming from the reflection of the other house. There is texture in the trees in the background on the leaves. The leading lines from the windows lead your eyes to the top of the image. The point of view is straight on but from a side angle. I took the photo sort of far away from the window but zoomed in to really capture the reflection. There is repetition in the vinyl siding on the side of the house. The photo slightly follows the rule of thirds because the house isn’t in the center of the image.
The camera settings that I used for this photo is a focal length of 56mm, an ISO of 200, an f/4.5, and a shutter speed of 1/320 sec. The white balance was sunny/daytime. The window is expressing weather with the bright sunny day and the deep green of the trees. The lighting is coming from behind the house. The window also conveys memory because of how I warmed up the tones of the image. Also the time of day impacts mood of the image. |
